Jade Johnson is a New Orleans based artist. Instead of paint, she uses hand- painted and cut paper to create a world full of comfort and whimsy.Her collages are inspired by her daily life and explore our connection between each other and the world around us. With gouache paint and scissors, she finds wonder in the mundane!In her newsletter Desk of Jade Johnson, Jade shares how she makes her collages, the inspiration behind them, and behind the scenes of children's book and other projects.On the weekends, Jade can be found thrifting, listening to audiobooks with her studio dog Ernie, and searching for the perfect hazelnut latte.
